The SR series ductile iron housing provides strength and durability. The
drive sleeve, spur pinion shaft, and spur gear reduction shafts are roller bearing supported, delivering high mechanical advantage and long life. Excellent sealing of mating surfaces provides reliable environmental protection. Ambient temperatures to -35°C are achieved with the standard lubricant.

Design:

The Limitorque WG worm gearboxes are constructed for manual or motorized operation. With ductile iron housings, bearing supported shafts, and well-designed sealing, the WG stands up to the environmental challenges of weatherproof, submersible and buried service applications. Alternate input shaft assembly positions can be accomplished in the field due to the concentric housing design. The splined adapter is captive in the housing, eliminating the concerns over proper engagement of the adapter on the valve shaft. The range of spur gear reductions allows the WG to meet operating times for virtually any application. The WG meets AWWA C504 requirements for manual operation and, when motorized, meets AWWA C542 requirements. High-quality,
maintenance-free construction will provide years of dependable operation.

Design:

Limitorque’s HBC series worm gear operators excel in diverse applications. Their dependability has been proven in the most demanding situations, ranging from nuclear power plants, to large damper operations, to power plant flue gas desulphurization. Equipped with a handwheel, the HBC can be used to manually operate butterfly, plug, and ball valves. Combined with a Limitorque electric actuator (such as the SMB, L120, or MX), the HBC provides powerful and responsive motorized operation. These combination actuators provide a wide range of output speeds and output torques to 93,000 ft-lb (126,100 N m). HBC operators feature an optional 360° worm gear for use in guillotine damper and radial gate applications. Whether manual or motorized, depend on the HBC for easy valve control — even in tough installations.
